London Olympics Eventing : Gold for Germany
After the excitement of the cross country course, on a slippery terrain with quite a few falls, everybody was eager to find out the results of the jumping in order to celebrate the new champions.

Two gold medals for Michael Jung
The German rider Michael Jung on Sam has proven to be an outstanding talent in the two parts of the jumping competition, which enabled him to defeat the two favourites.

The German team won a gold medal as well, followed by the United Kingdom and New Zealand (with a team including two outstanding riders, Mark Todd and Andrew Nicholson). Michael Jung managed to win two gold medals in one day !

“I was dreaming I could participating in the Olympic games” he explained “but I had never imagined winning two gold medals. It is unbelievable and Sam has really done a fantastic job”.

France achieved an eighth place, somewhat below expectations.
