For it’s eighteeth year of existence, Equita’ will give a wide diplay of all the different topics of the equestrian world.

The famous French exhibiton will take place in Lyon, from october 31 st to november 4 th, and will host the 2012 FEI World Cups in show -jumping and dressage !

Equita’Lyon, one of the greatest equestrian exhibitions in France, has experienced exponential growth : in 2011 it attracted more than 100,000 visitors and thus became a widely attended equestrian gathering in France.
Less than two years before the Equestrian Games in 2014, Equita’ will be the setting for two qualifiers in 2012 and 2013. From the beginning to the end of each winter, the Rolex FEI Jumping and the Reem Acra FEI Dressage World Cups hold the horse world in suspense on five continents.

Equita Lyon

Equita'Lyon’s Health Area has become an essential place to visit for the health of horses and riders. It was created in 2007 on the initiative of several partners including Merial, a world leader in animal health, the Equine Centre of the VetAgro Sup Veterinary Campus in Lyon and the Champ du Perier Equine Clinic. Indeed, given the public's enthusiasm for leisure horses, it is essential for riders and owners to be informed about the rules to follow to keep horses in good health.
The Health Area's objective is to spread basic knowledge about equine health, to allow the owners of leisure horses and riders to identify the initial symptoms of specific diseases and to learn about certain treatments –which is part of Cheval Savoir’s values as well.

Western horsemanship

Equita’ also sets the pace for western riding –a discipline which is rapidly expanding in Europe- and places great emphasis upon it. Today Equita’s International Western Horse Show extends over three halls and hosts prestigious competitions, such as the Reining International Open Grand Prix, the European Barrel Racing Cup, the Cutting World Cup and the American horse competitions.

The « sport and show » evenings

This year, Equita’ will immerse spectators in the heart of the spirit of the Slavs for two "Sport and Show" evenings, on Friday 2nd and Saturday 3rd November."Donskaya" takes the audience on a long journey where the violins, the balalaïkas and accordions echo the sound of the hooves of the Cossack horses. The artists, including Sophie Bienaimé from the “Musée Vivant du Cheval” in Chantilly, Alizée Froment, Les Fils du Vent, and many other internationally renowned companies, will perform stunts, gallop and create magical scenes...
